Research Shows Today's Moms
Crossing Cultural And Demographic Lines, Redefining
Roles, Increasing Influence At M2Moms™-The Marketing-To-Moms
Conference
Hartford, Conn. - September 24,
2007 -- How moms continue to redefine their roles and
expand their circles of influence beyond cultural and
demographic lines will be the focus of new research
findings to be presented during the 3rd Annual M2Moms™-The
Marketing-To-Moms Conference, October 23-24, 2007, Chicago
Cultural Center.
"Moms are modern day heroines
constantly reinventing themselves and the institution
of motherhood within the framework of children, work,
friendship and volunteerism," says Sal Kibler,
publisher of Momseasychair.com, a leading online magazine
for moms. Kibler will be presenting the authentic and
valuable feedback she received from real moms throughout
the U.S during Momseasychair.com's recent whistle stop
tour. "The mothers we met were particularly self-aware
-- perhaps more so than ever before in modern history
- as they redefined their roles organically or purposefully
in daily, weekly, monthly and even decade-long time
periods depending on the stage of their life and often
the stage of their children's lives."
The influence that bicultural Hispanic
moms have on other Hispanic and general market consumers
will be the focus of a presentation led by Liria Barbosa,
research director and Susan Ford, vice president of
C&R Research "More than 7 million Latino moms
are making daily decisions about what their families
consume" says Barbosa. "Within the household,
Latino moms guide most of the family decisions and are
emerging as influencers for all moms-Hispanic and non-Hispanic.
M2Moms™ is giving us the opportunity to share
our findings about what influences the bicultural Hispanic
mom and the effectiveness of current marketing efforts
within the general market among this target group."
